Custom Sock Gift Sets for Your Team and Clients
By Victoria Simmons
A custom sock gift set is a pair of socks in your colors plus one or two things that go with them, packed together with a note. Pick a theme first (a cozy night in, a commute, a first day), choose pieces that fit it, and order everything on the same timeline. Two or three good pieces beat a box of filler.
A loose pile of swag in a box reads like a clear-out of the supply closet. A set that hangs together reads like you thought about the person getting it.
Four set ideas, all from products we make
The cozy set: fuzzy socks, a sherpa blanket and a ceramic mug. Good for remote teams and winter gifts.
The commute set: custom crew socks, an insulated tumbler and a canvas tote to carry it all in.
The travel set: crew socks, packing cubes and a vegan leather luggage tag. A good fit for clients and executives who are always on the road.
The first-day set: crew socks in your colors, an insulated bottle and a note from the new hire's manager. See our guide to onboarding kits with custom socks.
Pick the socks first
The socks are the piece people remember, so start there. Custom crew socks are 70% combed cotton with 200-needle knitting, a no-slip cuff and a reinforced toe and heel. Fuzzy socks have a no-slip cuff and a soft, buttery feel for cozy sets. Eco crew socks are 70% viscose made from bamboo. For a client, match the socks to their brand colors instead of yours, and the gift feels made for them.
Mistakes that sink a gift set, and the fix
Too many things. Five small items feel like filler. Fix: two or three pieces that share a theme.
A big logo on everything. The set starts to feel like an ad. Fix: let the socks carry your colors and keep the logo small on the rest.
Items on different timelines. Most of our merch takes 2 to 3 weeks once you approve the design, but not every piece arrives on the same day. Fix: plan from your send date backward, and confirm the timeline for each item with your rep.
Missing a minimum. Each product has its own minimum, usually 50. Fix: size the program so every piece clears it, or keep extras for the next round.
Shipping it all to the office. Remote people end up waiting for someone to mail theirs. Fix: we can pack and ship each set from a list of addresses, with custom boxes and printed inserts.
No note. The box arrives, and nobody knows why. Fix: a short note that says what the gift is for, signed by a real person.
Plan a year of sets in one order
Here's a simple example. Say you expect to hire about 75 people over the next year. Order 75 first-day sets (crew socks, an insulated bottle and a tote) in one go, and each item clears its 50-piece minimum. Keep the sets on a shelf and hand one out on each person's first day, so every new hire gets the same welcome.
When a gift set isn't worth it
A set costs more than a single pair, and the extra pieces only help if people use them. If the budget is tight or the group is large, one great pair of socks with a real note can do the same job. Save sets for the moments that matter most, like a first day, a big anniversary or a top client.

Frequently asked questions
What goes in a custom sock gift set?
A pair of custom socks plus one or two pieces that fit a theme, like a mug and a blanket for a cozy set or a tumbler and a tote for a commute set. Add a short note that says what the gift is for.
What's the minimum order for a gift set?
Each product has its own minimum, and most of ours start at 50. A set program works best when every piece in it reaches that number.
Can I mix sock styles in one gift program?
Ask your rep how the minimum works across styles before you plan. One sock style in a few colorways is the simplest way to plan.
Should a gift set include a note?
Yes. Two or three lines that say what the gift is for, signed by a real person, turn a box of items into a thank-you.
How long does a custom sock gift set take?
Most of our socks and merch take 2 to 3 weeks after you approve the design. Plan from your send date and leave time for mockups.
